AMONG WORLDS (original artwork)

The starting point of this artwork was an idea, a feeling that has stayed in my head and heart for long and probably will never go. I'm living among worlds, among homes. My birth home, where I grew up, where I have a big and vibrant family and the new, adoption ones, and it's plural because there are more than one. I left Romania when I was in my early twenties to discover Spain, a warm, beautiful country which educated my taste for happiness and joy with its ''Fiestas''. I left for three months and stayed for 5 happy years.
Later on, I discovered the United Kingdom. Here I've been educated to see the love in every little moment of my daily life, to care, to take my time, to do my best, and to rediscover God. I love all my worlds and for a while, I thought that I need to choose among them. Not anymore
This artwork is full of beautiful, strong colours because I'm not sad anymore. I don't need to split among my homes. I can live in all!
I imagine Europe as my country and countries as regions. Some people have a holiday house, a townhouse and a village house. I have a home for my family and traditions, a home for joy and a home for my heart, and when I'm thinking that I'm living all of these together with my other half and two daughters I feel complete, and believe me, it is nothing better than this feeling.
